Emergency Care
- If you have an urgent problem, please call our office for instructions. We request that you call before noon if possible. One of our medical assistants will take your message and contact your doctor. Your call will be returned as soon as possible. One of our physicians is available 24 hours per day. In a true emergency, it is best to go to the Emergency Department of the nearest hospital, where the physician on duty will begin treatment, and contact our physician on call if necessary.
Telephone Calls
- Please call our office if you have questions or problems regarding medications or treatment. Our assistants are trained to answer your questions, arrange prescription refills, etc. Please try to foresee the need for medication refills and call for them during office hours. The physician on call during the night or weekend may be unable to authorize a drug prescription if your medical record is not available to him. It will be helpful if you call with an exact description of your medication and have your pharmacy's telephone number handy. Narcotic prescriptions are not filled after office hours.
Fees
- Charges for consultations, office visits and special examinations are determined by the time spent, and vary with the severity and complexity of the problem. We welcome any questions you may have about our fee schedule. We are concerned about the cost of medical care and appreciate your suggestions. We are Medicare Participating Physicians.
Billing
- We appreciate your payment at the time of service. If you have health insurance, please remember that professional services are rendered and charged to the patient and not to the insurance company. If you are on a managed care plan, please confirm that we have received prior authorization for your visit. You are responsible for payment of all charges, regardless of any insurance coverage you may have. We will provide you with an itemized statement for you to submit to your insurance company. You may use your personal check, Mastercard, or Visa. If you need to arrange a payment plan, please ask for an appointment with our business office.
Medical Records
- Your medical record is a confidential document. These records will only be released to others with your written permission. We are happy to provide this service to our patients. However, after the first set of medical records is requested and sent, there will be a charge of $0.25 per page. Click for details of our policy.
Referrals
- If you have been sent to us by another doctor, please inform us so that we may promptly send a report. There is no charge for this service.
